Michael Baker has been appointed as the new Product Specialist for the North East England region effective from 3rd July 2023.  

Michael has recently been undergoing product familiarisation training to ensure that as of 3^rd July when he officially starts his field-based position, he is fully au fait with the wide range of glove sling™ and bathing range products the company have to offer.

Having spent the previous 26 years working initially as a ceiling track hoist installer with the past six as a moving and handling assessor, Michael is already a familiar face and trusted associate amongst occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals in the North East of England.  The territory Michael will support for Care & Independence spans from Berwick-upon-Tweed at the North East of his coverage, south through Northumberland, Tyneside, Newcastle to Selby in North Yorkshire and west across Cumbria.  Offering free assessments and product training, Michael is keen to get back out on the road doing what he excels at.

Of his appointment, Michael remarked, “I’ve been a fan from afar of Care & Independence for a long time as they are well known for being leaders and innovators in moving and handling products.  Since joining the company I’ve witnessed first-hand just how dedicated and passionate everyone at Care & Independence truly is about improving lives.  I am delighted to be a part of this now and am really looking forward to bringing it all to the attention of my community!”
