Key Account Manager Appointed

Care & Independence are pleased to announce the promotion of Richard Gomm as the company’s national Key Account Manager. 

Richard’s new role will focus on developing and growing strong relationships with commissioners, loan store operators and local authorities across the country. This national perspective will allow for better alignment of goals and further enhance existing business relationships.

 

James Bennett, Sales & Marketing Director, commented; “Prior to this appointment, we have of course always provided a high level of service to customers - which our business development team will continue to do at a regional level, especially focused on new relationships. However with recent exponential growth and more planned, we recognised the need for a dedicated resource for existing major accounts.   Every aspect of our business - including making appointments such as this - is driven through alignment with our company values.   Richard has extensive and proven experience in business development with a verve for relationship management that particularly echo the ‘humbly confident’, ‘going the extra mile’ and ‘working for the greater good’ values.  I know this appointment will ensure our major accounts continue to receive the highest level of service and support, in line with our key values as we add significant organic growth in both product lines, output and lives improved.” 

 

Since joining the company in 2021 as part of the business development team, Richard has played a pivotal role in forging and securing significant growth opportunities within the multi-equipment vendor sector.  where Care & Independence maintain sizeable contracts.  Richard’s new post became effective 1st March 2024 and also sees key account planning, commercial negotiations and B2B training delivery fall under his remit.  Of his new role Richard himself expressed excitement; “From a business perspective I am delighted to be in a position where I can help realise customer needs more fully and support them further.  From a personal perspective, it’s brilliant to be able to further my career at Care & Independence.”
